The Statue

The statue that saved people from the tsunami when they stood behind it.

Where the Three Waters Meet

Kamyakumari, the southern tip of India, where the three waters meet.  They are the Bay of Bengal,  the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.

The buses

We stood in the front of the bus with many people, the bus driver and the motor.  All the buses have manual transmissions and there is a small hole around the gear shift so one can see how the gear shift is attached to the engine.  Some of the handles with which one holds on with are broken.  The Indian people are more aggressive than New Yorkers!  Before they get on the bus they shove their bags through the windows to save their seats.  And no matter how crowded the bus is, a man comes around and collects a fare from each person.

The Bus

The buses have no doors!
